The Family Law Section works cooperatively with elected representatives, policy makers, the courts, government agencies and numerous other bodies on a wide range of matters associated with the operation of family law. The Section recommends and responds to initiatives concerning legislative change and procedural reforms.
With its primary focus being the practical aspects of family law and associated areas, Australian Family Lawyer is published for members three times per year. Contributions are made by leading experts in family law and related areas.
Keeping members informed about the latest development in the ever-changing world of family law, FLS Online News is an electronic publication issued monthly. Ad hoc editions are also issued as required.

This Conference brings together representatives from government, the judiciary, academia, non-government organisations, the practicing profession and many associated disciplines from all parts of Australia and from many parts of the world. From very small beginnings in Hobart in 1984, the Conference has grown to become by far the largest regular event in the Australian legal calendar.
