Anne has been a member of the Executive since 1998. She was Deputy Chair from March 2005 to December 2006. Anne practices as a barrister in family law and related matters and has been practising either exclusively or predominantly in family law since 1978.

Anne studied law at the University of Sydney and was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 1978. She practised as an employed solicitor and as a principal in country New South Wales before moving to the Australian Legal Aid Office in 1981. From that time she has practised exclusively in family law. After eight years as a Legal Aid lawyer she moved back to private practice and was later admitted to the Bar in 1993. Anne was appointed Senior Counsel in October 2009.
