Martin has been a member of the Executive since April 2000. He was Deputy Chairman from November 2002 to December 2004 and Chairman from January 2005 to March 2005.
Martin graduated from Monash University with a B. Juris., LL B. in 1973. He was admitted to practice in 1974 and commenced to practice as a solicitor in 1975. He signed the Roll of Counsel in 1986 and was appointed Queens Counsel in 1998.
He is a past chairman of the Family Law Section of the Law Institute of Victoria and has presented papers and written on Family Law. He practices in the domestic relations jurisdictions, acts as a mediator and is an arbitrator.
