Rick was elected as Deputy Chair in November 2008, having been member of the Executive since November 2004.
Rick has practised primarily in family law since his admission to practice in 1983. He completed his Articles and early years of practice in the Family Law Section of Legal Aid Western Australia, before joining Perth ’s largest independent firm, Jackson McDonald in 1986. He was a Partner of Jackson McDonald from 1989 to 2001, including a period as Managing Partner.
Rick is now a Partner of O’Sullivan Davies, a firm practising exclusively in family law.
He is a past President of the Family Law Practitioners Association of Western Australia, having served on the Executive of that body in a variety of roles over many years. He is a member of the Senior Advisers Panel for the Law Society of Western Australia, and the Society’s Professional Conduct Committee.
