NJCA Symposium – Memory, Trauma, Evidence and the Courts

We are pleased to share details of the upcoming National Judicial College of Australia Symposium on Memory, Trauma, Evidence and the Courts, bringing together leading researchers, judicial officers, legal practitioners and forensic psychologists to explore the intersection of memory science and the law.

The Symposium features Professor Barbara Spellman (University of Virginia) as keynote speaker. Day One offers a plenary program on memory, trauma, suggestibility, investigative interviewing and judicial decision‑making. Day Two includes specialist streams in Criminal Law, Civil Law and Family Law.

The event coincides with the John Doyle Oration on Friday, 21 August, delivered by the Honourable Justice Robert Beech‑Jones of the High Court of Australia. Symposium registrants are invited to attend the Oration and dinner.

Flights to and from Adelaide and accommodation are not included in the registration fee.

Included is programmed catering (morning tea, lunch and afternoon teas) and access to all program materials and resources.

The program includes the John Doyle Oration and dinner, on Friday 21 August, to be delivered by the Honourable Justice Robert Beech-Jones, High Court of Australia.

Early Bird Registration is $1150 per person.
