Committed to advancing the profession, the Family Law Section works efficiently with external stakeholders including elected representatives, policymakers, the courts, and government agencies to achieve this goal. The Section advocates recommend and respond to initiatives concerning legislative change and procedural reforms on behalf of members.

Three editions are produced annually, by the Section for its members. Leaders in their fields are engaged to provide engaging, up-to-date, relevant information to assist members in their day-to-day practice.

National Family Law Conference

Discounted registration to the biennial National Family Law Conferences. This Conference brings together representatives from the government, the judiciary, academia, non-government organisations, the practicing profession, and many associated disciplines from all parts of Australia and many parts of the world. From very small beginnings in Hobart in 1984, the Conference has grown to become by far the largest regular event in the Australian legal calendar. The next conference will be held in Adelaide from 27 - 30 March 2022 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
