The long-awaited 19th National Family Law Conference (NFLC) will proceed on 14 – 17 August 2022 in Adelaide.

Over 930 delegates have secured their places to hear from our range of outstanding speakers and attend a variety of amazing social events!

The Conference is grateful for the strong support of the Courts in presenting the NFLC. We have more than 20 justices and judges as well as a number of registrars appearing as speakers or chairs and many others attending.

After the challenges of the last two and a half years, the NFLC is a great opportunity for practitioners to meet in person, to learn, to renew and make new friendships and to enjoy the unique experience of the NFLC.

Naturally, there is an exciting social program too. All full delegates will receive, as part of their registration, an invitation to the Welcome Drinks (now at the iconic Adelaide Oval) on the evening of Sunday, 14 August AND to the Gala Ball (now being held at the Convention Centre) on the evening of Wednesday, 17 August. Delegates can also register for the Restaurant Dine Around evening on Monday, 15 August at a range of outstanding Adelaide restaurants and to attend the Chair’s Lunch to hear Dr Kylie Moore-Gilbert.

Our keynote speakers include:

  • The Chief Justice of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, the Honourable Justice Alstergren AO
  • The new Commonwealth Attorney-General, the Honourable Mark Dreyfus QC
  • The Honourable Justice Michelle Gordon AC of the High Court of Australia (who will be presenting remotely as the Conference is now during a sitting week for the Court)
  • Mr Justice Sir Nicholas Mostyn of the High Court of England and Wales (also presenting remotely)
  • Madam Justice Gillian Marriott of the Queen’s Bench, Alberta, Canada
  • Lady Deborah Chambers QC of the New Zealand Bar
  • Dr Robert Simon, forensic psychologist, USA
  • Dr Kylie Moore-Gilbert (the speaker at the Chair’s Lunch)
  • Jess Hill (award winning author)
